I'm giving in and writing something....even though only one person will read this lol.

Not sure what to write about, so I'm going to just write what has been on my mind.....

I've decided that Anime Girls for guys, is the equivalent to Disney Princes for girls. And that if a girl wants her "disney prince" she should go for the dude watching anime.

Maybe it's because I've been watching too much anime lately, but I've come to the conclusion that every anime ever made is just a big old love story/romance/ect for dudes. I can't exactly prove it, but here are some good examples:

Cowboy Bebop: Everything leads up to Spike dying for the woman he loves.....basically....
Gurren Lagann: Yoko falling in love with Kamina, and Simone falling in love with Nia
Clannad: No need to explain
School Rumble: I don't think I need a description about this one, unless you haven't seen it.
This Ugly Yet Beautiful World: Once again...no description necessary
Another: Kouichi with Mei
Spice and Wolf: I'm starting to think I don't need to list any more.

Well now I'm done listing it, and sure there are some anime out there that have nothing to do with romance and whatnot, but it's hard to find. Hell even Sgt. Frog had a bit of romance...even Shin Chan...the most unlikely source still had some.

I guess where I'm getting at, is that anime is basically a venue for romance to be accepted by males. Instead of the usual crap all over the romance movie, or whatever, we (viewers of anime) tend to love the relationships and whatnot, and get drawn into the story, and feel for the characters as if they were our own friends or family.

I never use to think this until recently. I watched Spice and Wolf and fell in love with Holo (The main girl character). Not in a creepy way, just in a "if that person actually existed, I would marry her", kind of way.....that still sounds weird, but I don't care. Now getting to my point. I'm sure many girls fell in love with a character from a disney movie...wishing there was the prince to come and sweep her off of her feet, and I think there is something to be said about (most) anime girls, in a way that makes you want to find that girl....and sweep her off of her feet.....

So now I'm at the main point here (holy crap I can ramble on). Guys who watch anime, are the disney princes that girls are looking for (somewhat). They want to find the girl that is perfect for them, and spend the rest of their lives together.....because if you watch enough anime, you will realize that it's all romance, and you keep watching because you yourself are a hopeless romantic....

Alright....problems with this theory...
Girls watch anime
Bi and Gay people
People like anime without being a romantic

No answer for girls watching anime....I think they are just as hopelessly romantic as the guys that do.

Bi and gay people....I sort of based this off of my own feelings towards anime, but I still believe if you watch anime, you probably still watch for the same reasons that I do. It's good, for one, and you still love seeing a romance unfold before your eyes, regardless of gender. So I'm hoping you are in the same boat as me :)

And lastly, the one big hole in my theory....this is all crap...some people just watch anime and feel nothing the way I do about it....
....and I have no argument for it.....it's just a fact that it won't encompass everyone that watches anime....just like there is no band that everyone will love, or movie that everyone will like....there is nothing in this world that will always be true for everyone (except the universal truth that no matter what, everything changes)....that is the nature of the beast.

Alright...I'm tired of writing....I've got to go to work soon.....I hope this was at least semi enjoyable....

HAHA! Yeah, sorry....I've been working WAY too much this week. Somebody got sick at one of my jobs, so I've had to help cover for them. But I need the money, and it's keeping me out of trouble lol.

How are you?
